freight shipping jobs available and we are looking for candidates who want employment with a respected company that values its integrity with both its customers and its employees. Our greatest need at the moment is for experienced freight brokers with an established customer base. We need you to grow our business and if you sign up with us, you’ll be glad you did. The first thing we will do to welcome you to the family is to take all of those tedious administrative tasks off your hands so you can do what you excel at, sell freight.

When you are a freight broker for American Freightways, no longer will you be tasked with checking insurance, checking credit, invoicing and paying carriers. You will never have to handle a claim again. We take all of that off your hands. We also give you our easy-to-use dispatch software.

You will have the option of working from home or working from our corporate office in San Diego. If you work at the office, we will provide you with a computer, phone and office space and you will get a 50/50 split as an in-house agent. Should you choose to work from home, you provide the high speed internet connection, computer, compatible phone instrument and a VPN router, which we will help you set up. You will receive a 60/40 split. We have opportunities available across the lower 48 states.

To help you decide, we offer Reefer, Dry Van, Flatbed, LTL services, fuel advances, quick carrier setups, customer credit checks and invoicing. We speak Spanish, have excellent credit and are insured and bonded. We pay carriers within 21 days and offer 1-day or 7-day Quick Pay.

If you’re just starting out, we have started a
freight broker training program so you can start a new career as a freight broker. You don’t need experience, but you do need to be a self-starter, organized, proficient with computer software and reliable. You will have to get licensed by the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Having sales or marketing skills is a plus but don’t worry, if you don’t have them, we’ll teach you. Freight broker training is an excellent way to get into the transportation industry and could be the start of a long and fulfilling career.
